Introduction on First NRN Global Conference
People do pride in their origin and maintain very close relationship with the community they originally come from and support initiatives geared. Nation states have been using such network for advancing the interest of the concerned country. For Instance, The financial and security well being of Israel is heavily dependent on the contribution of Jews residing all over the world. The overseas Chinese Network a.k.a. bamboo network has been playing crucial role in promoting Chinese business interests. Non Resident Indians are playing increasingly important role in the economic development of India.
In our case not only there has not been much of the effort to properly use the resources and expertise accumulated by the Nepali people residing abroad. Many Nepali who are successful in the country of their residence often complain that they are unable to bring their expertise and resource even when they want to do so. In order to nurture a closer network of Nepali residing abroad with Nepal and among themselves and the potentials of using their capabilities and experiences for furthering Nepal's economic and cultural development a First Non Resident Nepali Conference was being held from 11th October to 14th October in Kathmandu.
Although the FNCCI had initiated the necessary preparations for actual conference, it was a joint effort of His Majesty's Government of Nepal, the FNCCI and NRN community represented by the NRN International Coordination Committee. All Nepali residing abroad were requested not only to participate but also be actively involved in the organization of the program itself. The FNCCI had formed a special organizing committee at the working level to make all necessary preparation. A Special cell in charge of all necessary arrangements was working at the FNCCI secretariat in full swing.
